Notes on calculator
- Dose increments can only be whole values from 1 to 10.
- If the total dose is less than 23 µg, preservative-free sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution must be added to the vial and the concentration will be diluted. This allows accurate measurement when drawing up liquid from the vial. The diluted vial concentration will be 125 µg/mL.
- If the total dose is equal to or greater than 23 µg, the vial does not need to be diluted further and the concentration of the liquid to be drawn up will remain 500 µg/mL.
- All calculations are taken from the Prescribing Information approved by the medicines regulatory authority.
